Matrixes

To open the Matrixes windows, from the File menu select Edit Matrix. Or click the  icon located on the toolbar.

The user has the option to create a new matrix from scratch or load a previously created matrix. Matrixes are organized by min qty, color-1 price, color-2 price, etc. To add additional min qty's click on the add row button. To add additional colors click on the add color button. Once all qty's and prices have been entered give the matrix a unique matrix code and description. The id and description will be used when configuring an invoice or quote.

Print prices are calculated as follows. If the first min qty is 1 and the next min qty is 12, then all items from 1-11 will be calculated according to the prices specified for the Color-1, Color-2, etc. prices of row 1. In the above example quantities of 1-11 will be given a price of $40.00 per print for a 1-color print. Note that quantities of items will be automatically totaled unless otherwise specified.

To change the print qty during the creation of an Invoice/Quote open the "Printing" window by clicking on the "Config" link of the "Printing" line item and select the "Styles" tab located on the printing configuration window. Once clicking the "Styles" tab you can manually enter quantities for each of the styles listed.

Note: Styles will only appear once they have been chosen as line items in the main Invoice/Quote screen. We recommend that you begin your Invoice/Quote by entering "Inventory" items first. Although this is not mandatory as prices will be updated accordingly.

Typically a shop would begin with eight basic print matrixes. In T-Boss you could set this up by using the given template named NONF and re-naming the matrix code and description. For example, adding an L to the end of NONF giving you NONFL (New Order No Flash Large Print) and entering your prices accordingly.

Example Matrixes:

  • NONFS (New Order No Flash Small Print)
  • NONFL (New Order No Flash Large Print)
  • NOFS (New Order with Flash Small Print)
  • NOFL (New Order with Flash Large Print)
  • RONFS (Re-Order No Flash Small Print)
  • RONFL (Re-Order No Flash Large Print)
  • ROFS (Re-Order with Flash Small Print)
  • ROFL (Re-Order with Flash Large Print)

Once you have your print matrixes configured open the "Other" matrix window. Add items to the "Other" matrix, which corresponds to additional changes that may incur. For example you may wish to add items such as "Sleeve Prints" with a $0.25 charge each garment. Or "Rush Job" with a $50.00 charge for each day the job is rushed. Once your markups, print matrixes, and other details are configured you also have the option of overriding these values when creating an invoice/quote by manually entering those values into the invoice/quote piece price and markup columns.

1.) Auto-increase. For faster results you can right click on a highlighted row and use the auto increase feature. This will add the specified value entered into color 1 to each additional color. For example if Color-1 has a price of $40.00 and you entered $20.00 into the auto-populate menu, each additional color will have the values Color-1 $40.00, Color-2 $60.00, Color-3 $80.00, etc.

2.) Matrix Code. A unique code that identifies the print matrix. Many shops will create different price matrixes for orders such as new order, re-order, customer supplied, difficult jobs, etc.

3.) Matrix Description. A unique description that identifies the print matrix.

4.) Load Matrix. Loads a previously created matrix into the data grid. You can save time by loading a previously created matrix and re-naming the matrix code.
