Customer
To open the customer
Add/Edit window from the Edit menu select Edit Customer. Or click the
The customer window allows
you to add, edit, and import customers into the T-Boss application. To add new
a customer simply type the customer name into the new customer text box. Once
you begin typing you will notice the customer drop down list become un-editable
signifying that a new customer is being added. Enter information pertaining to
the customer including address, phone, etc .You can optionally enter a customer
code into the customer code textbox or let T-Boss generate one for you. The
customer code is the key identifier used when exporting to QuickBooks. If you
do not import your customers from QuickBooks be sure to enter the customer code
that corresponds to the customer code in QuickBooks. To import customers from
QuickBooks simply click the Import From QuickBooks button and locate the .iif
file you generated from QuickBooks. To Export Customers from the QuickBooks
accounting program from the
"File" menu select Export List of IIF Files. Once the Export
window appears check the Customer List and select OK. The Show Activity button allows you to View/Edit all the
activities relating to the selected customer. Clicking the Show All link brings up a window containing all of
the customers found in your database. This allows for quick editing of
information pertaining to all of you customers. To View/Edit a customer that is already in your database simply
type in the name of the customer, or click the customer drop down list and
select the customer of your choice. Customers marked
as prospects will only appear in the customer drop down of the Invoice/Quote
screen when creating a quote. The invoice view only shows actual customers.
To make a customer appear in the invoice view, uncheck the Mark as prospect
checkbox. Contact
Management
Clicking the Contact
Management tab allows you to Enter/Edit contact management details for the
selected customer. Click the Add New button to add a new contact for the
selected customer, or simply click inside any of the contact management details
to edit. If the contact has an email address you should enter their email into
the available column as all contact email addresses will be immediately
accessible when sending an email to that particular customer. Add remaining
details such as the company type, references (how they heard about your
company) and optionally select if you would like to include then when
performing a bulk email operation. The email address below the bulk email
option will be the default email address used when performing a bulk email. Art
Click the Add Art button to
add customer artwork to the customers art folder automatically generated by
T-Boss. It is important to add art to the customer folder as this will allow
for immediate access to all of the customers artwork when creating an
Invoice/Quote. If you already have a lot of art for a particular customer you
can also copy and paste, from windows explorer, those files into the T-Boss
generated customer art folder. Click the View button to view the selected
artwork. When complete, click the Save button to save all your changes. < Back |
